A landmark infrastructure bill passed both chambers of Congress late Thursday, securing $1.2 trillion in funding for roads, bridges, broadband internet and clean energy projects across all 50 states.

The legislation, hailed as one of the most significant investments in American infrastructure in decades, passed with rare bipartisan support. Senators from both sides of the aisle praised the deal as a critical step toward modernizing America's aging infrastructure while creating hundreds of thousands of jobs.

"This is a win for every American family," said Senate Majority Leader in a floor speech following the vote. "From rural communities gaining access to high-speed internet to cities rebuilding crumbling bridges, this bill delivers real results."

The funding breakdown includes $550 billion in new spending, covering $110 billion for roads and bridges, $66 billion for passenger and freight rail, $65 billion for broadband infrastructure, and $55 billion for water infrastructure upgrades.
